The Bahamas is an Island Country consisting of more than 700 islands, cays, and islets in the Atlantic Ocean that’s north of Cuba and Southeast to the US state of Florida. Its capital is Nassau on the island of New Providence. The name Bahamas is derived from the Spanish ‘baja mar’ which means ‘shallow water or sea’ reflecting the shallow waters of the area. It enjoys tropical climate with low temperatures that falls between 3 degrees to 5 degrees Celsius.
