Annapurna Temple, Indore
The Annapurna temple is a very popular religious place of attention among the people of Indore and is devoted to Goddess Annapurna. This amazing temple is located in Indore city which is also known as ‘Mini Mumbai’.
Indore is the largest city of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It provides as the headquarters of Indore District and Indore Division together. Indore is a central power city which exerts a important impact upon media, commerce, research, finance, education, art, fashion, technology and entertainment and has been illustrated as the commercial capital of the state.
Annapurna Devi is the characterization of the Goddess Parvati. As per the Hindu scriptures Annapurna Devi is believed to be the Goddess of food. Three shrines of Shiva, Hanuman and Kalabhairava are also positioned inside the temple area.
As per the Meenakshi temple of Madurai, four life size elephants are available on a lavishly attractive gate in plaster. Inside the complex there are many temples like Shiv mandir, Hanuman temple and Kal Bhairav temple and many temples were placed apart from the main temple of Annapurna Devi. There is also a pravachan hall. The external wall of the main temple is highlighted with colourful reliefs from mythological stories. Gow-shala is also available in the temple premises.
