It was Liverpool’s first defeat since falling at Chelsea four months ago. Chelsea is two points behind Liverpool with two matches remaining, but Manchester City who could be the core beneficiary. The 2012 champions were six points behind Liverpool in third position, having played two less games and with a greater goal difference. City played at Crystal Palace later on Sunday.
