‘Jazba’ To Go On Floors In December
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be back on the sets of her comeback film, Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Jazba’, in the first week of December, 40 days ahead of schedule.
This is because Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Mumbai Saga’ has been delayed as Anil Kapoor and John Abraham, who are playing the gangsters in the flick, don’t have dates to spare. According to reports, it is learnt that the actors informed the filmmaker that they have to wrap up and promote Anees Bazmee’s ‘Welcome Back’ first. The film, which is eyeing a Christmas release, is running late. Anil Kapoor will be in Dubai for the sequel in October, and John Abraham will follow in November.
Says a source close to the development, “The film’s producer, Firoz Nadiadwala is a good friend of Sanjay. He had a long chat with him. Sanjay understood that Firoz’s film, which is already on floors, needs to be completed first. He immediately sent an SOS to Aishwarya whose dates he had from January, asking if she could start the film earlier. She responded positively.”
When contacted, Sanjay Gupta confirmed the news, saying, “Yes, I’ll start Jazba with Aishwarya and Irrfan (Khan) in December before Mumbai Saga, which will roll later.”
Meanwhile, Anil and John’s co-stars, Vivek Oberoi and Huma Qureshi have been informed about the change in schedule. “Both are disappointed that the dates they had allotted for Mumbai Saga will now go waste,” added the source.
