Sangakkara Joins Gooch.
Sangakkara followed his 319 in first innings with 105 today against Bangladesh on the fourth day of the second Test. The left-hander scored 424 runs in the Test, third most by a batsman in history. England’s Graham Gooch has the most runs in a Test with 456 (333 and 123 Vs India in 1990). Sangakkara is only the second batsman after Gooch to hit a triple and a ton in same Test. The second highest runs in a match was 426 by Mark Taylor (334 and 92 Vs Pakistan in 1998).
