Makai Mathari
Makai Mathari is a crunchy and healthy snack that can be carried for touring and also served as starters and as tortillas with or without extra toppings.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup crushed corn
- 1 cup Wheat flour
- 1 cup Rice powder
- 1/2 cup Maida or All Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup Besan or Gram Flour
- 1/2 cup Semolina or Rava
- 1 tbsp Rred chilli powder
- 1 tbsp Garam masala
- 2 tbsp Roasted white seasame seeds
- Oil
- Salt to taste
- Green chillies, Ginger, Hing (Asafoetida) according to your taste
- Garlic (optional)
Method:
- Firstly mix all the flours together and insert crushed corn kernels.
- Grind chillies and ginger well.
- Combine red chilli powder, hing, roasted til, salt, garam masala and add 1 tbsp hot oil to the flour.
- Blend all the components and make a dough of puri constancy.
- Allow to relax for 10 minutes. Again knead fine and make little balls.
- Spin flat puries out of it. Pierce it with a fork so that it does not fluff.
- Take oil in a pan and deep fry it on low heat till it turns into golden brown.
- When it cooled, store it in a sealed box.
