Movie review: Dedh Ishqiya 3 stars

Dedh Ishqiya Starring: Naseeruddin Shah, Madhuri Dixit, Arshad Warsi, Huma Quereshi and Vijay Raaz.
Dedh Ishqiya is not better than the sequel. It has been rated with 3 stars.The sets, the costumes, the music, the dialogues transports you into an ancient era. The chemistry between Arshad and Naseer is as good as it was in the prequel Ishqiya. Same goes for Madhuri and Huma. Vijay Raaz is delightful in the movie. Vishal Bhardwaj’s dialogues are one of the biggest highlights of the film. The negative drawbacks of the film are that, too much shudh urdu language is used in the first half, which audience will struggle to understand. There are subtitles in the movie but the makers should have used simpler language. Madhuri’s look is inconsistent. She looks hauntingly beautiful in parts and jaded in some scenes. Also, for a subject like this, the length needed to be shorter.
