Roger Federer beats Anderson to reach in semifinals
Tennis star Roger Federer bang Kevin Anderson by 7-5, 6-1 on March 13 in the quarterfinals of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells and reached in the semi-final, where the Swiss player has yet to fall a set in four games.
Anderson was not able to break Federer’s serve in the game that finished just above an hour. He had 21 effortless mistakes while Federer smack 17 winners and covered 79 percent of his initial serve points.
Federer who is 4 time Indian Wells champion, will play against Alexandr Dolgopolov in the semifinals. Alexandr thrash Milos Raonic 6-3, 6-4.
On the other side in woman’s matches, Li Na bang Dominika Cibulkova by 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 in a replay of their Australian Open final and proceeded to a semifinal nest to Flavia Pennetta, who crushed Sloane Stephens by 6-4, 5-7, 6-4.
As per the reports Federer said that,”It was big to win the set and then to go on to break early in the second. Then double break was like a bonus. From then on I was home, basically. It was a really good match for me.”
