Shaadi Ke Side Effects movie review

Shaadi Ke Side Effects is written and directed by Saket Chaudhary, who also steered Rahul Bose-Mallika Sherawat starrer Pyaar Ke Side Effects. Farhan and Vidhya charm with their parenthood woes. Well I find the name shouldn’t be Shadi ke side effects, it should have ideally been Pregnancy ke side effects. With the movie’s lead actors Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan both dealed with pre and post pregnancy challenges that includes both emotional and Physiological. Saket has showed the problems faced by couples once they become parents. He has gone overboard with his portrayal of two individuals trying to find ‘me-space’ as they have parental responsibilities on their head.
As we all know Farhan Akhtar is a talented actor who always come up with different roles. This time Farhan’s portrayal in the film is emotional and financially unprepared father who struggles hard to be the best parent ever. The role was challenging according to me and he really did well.
We have seen Vidhya before playing role of a Pregnant woman in Kahani, but that film was a bit serious. In SKSE Vidhya will switch her priorities as she will grow from being a woman who wants to get intimate as much as her husband wants to. Personally i liked her acting. The movie revolves even comedy around. I actually loved the movie. If you want to laugh out loud you must go and watch the movie.
