Sony TV’s ‘Encounter’ To Come To An End
‘Encounter’ is an Indian crime television series, produced by Endemol India for Sony Entertainment Television and Sony Entertainment Television Asia. Its central plot is based on 35 encounters in Mumbai over 36 one-hour episodes. The show gave viewers freshness in terms of content and the series has been much talked about for its crisp presentation and realistic stories on the world of gangsters. The show has garnered much appreciation also for its excellent casting.
Now, there’s some sad news for all fans of this show as it’s about to come to a closure very soon.
The tri-weekly show hosted by Manoj Bajpayee presented tales of dreaded criminals and their rise in the underworld which ended with police encounters bringing an end to their era.
Popular actors like Shaleen Bhanot, Barkha Bisht, Sara Khan, Himanshoo Malhotra, Vishal Karwal, Mishal Raheja, Maninee Mishra and many others were the faces of the show, with their stunning performances. Now, according to some sources, the show ‘Encounter’ will air its final episode on the 4th of July.
The last day of the show will air three episodes back to back.
A source from the creative team says, “The show was planned for a specific time frame, but sadly we had to close early with other shows taking up the slots. The end has been a bit haphazard, but overall it has been a great working experience.”
